Who fits contact lenses?
All UK registered optometrists are entitled to fit contact lenses. Dispensing opticians who hold a higher contact lens qualification can register a contact lens speciality and become contact lens opticians. Registered medical practitioners can also fit contact lenses, and there’s special provision for students
