1. Nearsightedness

   Also called myopia. With myopia, visual images come to a focus in front of the retina, which results in blurred vision of distant objects.

2. Neovascularization

   The ingrowth of abnormal blood vessels in the normally avascular cornea, often due to hypoxia in contact lens wearers.

   The absence or lack of an overall electric charge; such lens polymers are relatively inert.
