The Association's Research Ethics committee has merged with the Ophthalmic Ethics Committee and will now be called the BCLA Ophthalmic Research Ethics Committee.

These committees review protocols for contact lens and related research and provide independent advice on the extent to which proposed studies comply with recognised ethical standards.
