BCLA Webinar: Forever Young: Multifocal contact lenses - because adventures don’t stop at 45

Presbyopia may be a natural part of ageing, but it doesn't stop people wanting to live active, fulfilling and adventurous lives. This lecture explores the real-world impact of presbyopia, from the everyday frustrations of blurred near vision to the psychological effects on confidence, independence and self-perception.

Through patient stories, lifestyle examples and practitioner insights, we'll examine why multifocal contact lenses remain underutilised despite their potential to transform patients' lives. The session will challenge common misconceptions, highlight the commercial opportunities for practice, and share practical fitting tips and success strategies from experienced clinicians.

Ultimately, this lecture reframes multifocal contact lenses not as a solution to ageing, but as a means of preserving freedom, convenience and visual confidence—helping patients stay forever young at heart.
