CET is not available on recorded lectures.

Q: I require a certificate of conference attendance from the live lecture. How do I obtain one?
If you require a conference Certificate of Attendance (CoA), then this can be supplied on request, post-event. This certificate is to show proof that you attended BCLA Vision. A CET Certificate can also be supplied on request, post event and will include added details of the sessions that you attended (attendance data taken from the online attendee tracking system) as to allow overseas attendees to claim CE points from their local governing optical body. Contact [email protected] by no later than 1 December 2021 should you wish to request a copy. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate any requests received after this time.

Q. Can I connect with exhibitors?
Yes, there is a dedicated page on the conference site where each sponsor will have their own profile for you to engage with them.

Q. Can I connect with other attendees?
You can still connect with all other attendees/speakers in numerous ways through the direct messaging functionality within this conference site.

Q: How long will the recorded videos be available for?
Most lectures taking place at BCLA Vision will be recorded, thus allowing conference registrants and/or attendees to catch up on content missed during the live event. All delegates that registered/attended BCLA Vision will still have access to the conference site for up to 6 months after the event has taken place. You will need to log in to the conference site to access the lectures. Your login details will remain the same as when you last accessed the conference site.

Q: My internet browser is blocking my access to the recorded videos, what do you recommend that I use?
The best experience will be provided on a laptop or desktop using the latest version of the Chrome or Firefox web browser. Please do not use Internet Explorer, as this web browser is not supported by the conference site.

Q. What equipment do I need to access the BCLA Vision Conference site?
We recommend using a desktop/laptop computer with speakers (built-in or USB headset), running the latest version of Windows or Mac OSX. The conference site is designed for desktop use only; please do not access the conference site with a mobile device or tablet, as you will not be able to get optimum usage or viewing with these devices.

Q. What do I do if I hear an echo when watching the recorded videos?
If you are hearing an echo whilst watching the live stream, you should make sure that you do not have any other videos open within different tabs and windows. You should select the lectures that you want to watch in advance and watch only one lecture at any given time to ensure full engagement with that session.

Q. How do I stop the recorded videos from buffering?
To reduce screen lag, it can be beneficial to refresh the page that you are viewing the live stream from. This helps to clear the CACHE and free up operating memory on your device. You should also check before the event that you have a stable internet connection either via WIFI or a cabled connection.

Q. I need further assistance, who do I contact?
If you cannot find what you need on the support and troubleshooting page and need to contact BCLA for additional help with anything BCLA Vision related, then please contact [email protected].
