BLOG: Would I Lie To You? Eye care professionals’ honesty is on the line at BCLA Clinical Conference and Exhibition
Wednesday, March 27, 2019
Which eye care practitioner always tells the truth and who has a habit of telling porkies? A light-hearted session at the forthcoming BCLA Clinical Conference and Exhibition will see two panels of eminent professionals take part in their own version of hit TV show ‘Would I Lie To You?’

The Minor Eye Conditions Service quiz will see the experts present their management of a variety of cases and will challenge you to decide who is lying, with plenty of audience participation and voting along the way.
A combination of consultant ophthalmologists and optometrists will present their version of the truth to you but who is correct? Who is a blatant liar but just sounds like they know what they are talking about?
The session will be led by BCLA president, Professor Sunil Shah, who said: “I’m looking forward to finding out which panel members are the most convincing. It’s a chance to get thinking creatively around minor eye conditions and it will be a fun way to question current methods of management.”
The refreshed and reimagined three-day Clinical Conference and Exhibition is returning to Manchester from May 30 to June 1, featuring an action-packed programme with keynote speakers from around the world.
Alcon and CooperVision are Partner Sponsors for the event while Johnson & Johnson Visioncare are Platinum Sponsors. Gold Sponsors are Menicon and SEED with Ultravision, Technology Sponsor is Topcon.
