Neil Retallic talks about the exciting programme for BCLA UK

The eyes of the world regularly focus on The Belfry when golfing superstars do battle for the Ryder Cup but for one weekend in June this year it will be eyes themselves that find themselves at the centre of attention.

BCLA UK is set to be one of the biggest weekends in the calendar, with hundreds of the country’s inspiring eye care practitioners coming together to find out how to gain confidence with contact lenses to Maximise their Potential.

The action-packed weekend will feature master-classes from some of the world’s leading contact lens and anterior eye experts, helping new practitioners or those wanting to refresh their basic cont act lens skills to further enhance their knowledge in how to provide the best patient care.

The BCLA’s education advisor Neil Retallic (pictured) has put together an exciting agenda packed full of CET accredited interactive presentations such as ‘Room 101’, practitioner focused guidance/tips, clinical workshops and peer discussion sessions to help all eye care practitioners engage with existing/potential contact lens patients and those with ocular surface disease.

Neil explains “The event will focus on how to have successful contact lens conversations with contact lens patients, strategies to successfully get the fit correct at the first opportunity, identifying the ideal contact lens patient journey and managing patient expectations to drive patient loyalty, patient retention and grow your contact lens and dry eye business.”

“Each session will provide clinical and commercial strategies to allow the eye care practitioner to understand how to meet patients’ expectations and how to further establish, maintain and grow their contact lens businesses.

“We will explore avenues to maximise patient satisfaction and how to adapt and respond to patients’ changing contact lens needs from the young to the ageing eye.

“A practitioner-focused approach will provide insights into best practice strategies implemented by successful fellow eye care practitioners. We’ll be learning from the very best in the business.”

Early-bird tickets for BCLA UK, which is being held at The Belfry on June 12/13, are on sale now. Spaces are limited and early booking is strongly advised.
